Dear Colleagues,

We cordially invite you to attend the International Conference of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (KSMCB), which will be held at the COEX convention center in Seoul, South Korea on Oct 9-11, 2013. This conference will introduce novel knowledge and technologies on cellular and molecular biology as well as a platform for networking among participants.

The scientific program includes Nobel laureate lecture, keynote lectures, symposia focusing on the latest research breakthroughs. In addition, a poster session will also be arranged for young scientists to present their research progress. This year, we are fortunate to invite the 1989 Nobel Laureate Dr. J. Michael Bishop (University of California, USA). Dr. James L. Manley (Columbia University, USA), Dr. Lynne E. Maquat (University of Rochester, USA), Dr. Hans Clevers (University Medical Center Utrecht, Netherlands), Timothy A. Springer (Harvard Medical School, USA), and Junjie Chen (The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA), will deliver key-note lectures. Nobutaka Hirokawa (University of Tokyo, Japan) will deliver special lecture. In addition, more than 150 world-class scientists from domestic and abroad will introduce cutting-edge studies in the symposia on 23 themes. In particular, a symposium on research ethics will be held.

There will be also a series of ceremony for the Academic Research Awards, the KSMCB Life Science Award and M&C Award, the Macrogen Scientist Award, the Ilchun Memorial Lecture, the Bioneer Next Generation Research Award, the Excellent Doctoral Thesis Award, the Excellent Poster Award, etc. Particularly, we provide participants from abroad with travel grant award and outstanding oral presentation award. In addition, companies and industries in the field of bioscience will participate in this conference for exhibition of research materials, tools and equipments.

We are convinced that this conference will provide participants with the most updated information on the latest scientific advancement and ample opportunities to exchange the ideas and to launch future collaborations.
