Dear Colleagues,

It is a great honor to invite you to the 30th International Conference of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (KSMCB).

The conference will be held on September 17-19, 2018 at the COEX Convention Center, Seoul Korea. The KSMCB has been organizing its annual conference to provide platforms for biologists at the largest and yet most diverse, contemporary and detailed levels for the past 30 years.

In 2018, KSMCB will host 4 outstanding plenary lectures, 9 award lectures, 24 Symposia on the current topics, 5 luncheon symposia, and more than 1,000 posters by young investigators as well as more than 130 exhibitions by the domestic and global companies.

2017 Nobel laureate Dr. Michael Young (Rockefeller University), Dr. Amato Giaccia (Stanford University), Dr. Bong-Kiun Kaang (Seoul Nat'l University), and Dr. Leroy Hood (Institute for Systems Biology) will give lectures for the plenary session. More than 150 world-renowned scholars will report and discuss their latest research breakthrough with expertise and depth as well. In particular, we set up two special sessions about Korean government policies and budgets for research and development in science and technology by Vice-minister Dr. Dae-Sik Lim (Ministry of Science and ICT) and Director Dr. Young Yang (National Research Foundation).

Numerous ceremonies for the lectures of the outstanding awards will include: KSMCB Life Science Award, KSMCB Award for Women in Life Science, KSMCB Presidential Lecture Award, KSMCB Molecules & Cells Award, Macrogen Scientist Award, Ilchun Memorial Lecture, AMOREPACIFIC Global Next Generation Research Awards, Takara Excellence Thesis Awards, SeouLin Bioscience Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis Awards, MERCK 350 Future Researcher Awards and KSMCB Young Investigator Research Awards as well as KSMCB Excellent Poster Presentation Awards.
