On behalf of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (KSMCB), we pleasantly welcome you to the 32nd International Conference of KSMCB, which will be held on-line on October 5th-7th.

KSMCB has been organizing annual conferences in order to provide scientific platforms for discussing and sharing cutting-edge knowledge between biologists for the past 30 years. In 2020, KSMCB will organize 4 outstanding plenary lectures, 5 award lectures, 24 symposia on current topics, 3 award lectures for the young generation, 2 young investigator’s sessions, 1 research ethics symposium, 8 luncheon symposia, and more than 1,000 posters by young investigators.

2006 Nobel laureate Dr. Andrew Z. Fire (Stanford University), Dr. Robert G. Roeder (Rockefeller University), Dr. Joseph S. Takahashi (University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center) and Dr. Sunghoon Kim (Yonsei University) will give lectures for the plenary sessions. More than 150 researchers from domestic and foreign institutions will present their ongoing studies and activities during the conference.

Numerous awardee lectures will also be presented: KSMCB Life Science Award, KSMCB Award for Women in Life Science, KSMCB Presidential Lecture Award, Macrogen Scientist Award, Ilchun Memorial Lecture, AMOREPACIFIC Global Next Generation Research Awards, Lee Se Yong Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis Awards, and MERCK 350 Future Researcher Awards.

Our conference will serve as an ideal opportunity to showcase the research quality of the life science field in Korea. We are certain that the conference will be a festive scene where individual scientists and organizations in the field of life sciences, including the organizations that are participating in the exhibitions that support and sponsor us, all come together to encourage and seek ways in which we can thrive together.

We welcome you all. And we hope you will come to the 32nd International conference of KSMCB that we have prepared to our utmost best to harmonize your academic achievements.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at this extraordinary event this coming Autumn.
