On behalf of the organizing committee, I cordially invite all of you to the 33^rd International Conference of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (KSMCB). The conference will be held at the International Convention Center (ICC) located in the beautiful island of Jeju from November 3-5, 2021.

The utmost purpose of our conference is to provide the scientific platform for sharing cutting edge knowledge with all participants in all fields of biological sciences including basic molecular biology and biomedical research as well as fishery and agricultural sciences. I am confident that this conference will provide all attendants with the most up-to-date information on the latest scientific achievements and will facilitate collaborative networks among domestic and international scientists. It goes without saying that this conference will be a great forum, particularly for graduate students, to learn from world class researchers and present their ideas and data.

We are proud to present a series of award lectures and symposia focused on the latest research breakthroughs diverse in fields, and investigators from institutions around the world will participate in the discussion about their cutting-edge studies. Prof. E. Fuchs (Rockefeller Univ.), Prof. G.Y. Koh (KAIST), Prof. R. Medzhitov (Yale Univ.), Prof. Daniel A. Haber (Harvard Univ.) will deliver plenary lectures. One of the highlights of the International Conference of KSMCB will be the poster presentation by young investigators. We will host exhibitions and job-fairs by global and domestic companies. There will also be a series of ceremonies for the academic research awards, travel grant awards, and outstanding poster presentation awards to the young investigators.

I am confident that this conference will be an exciting and memorable scientific festival and provide all attendees with the most up-to-date information on the latest scientific achievements. Finally, I hope the gathering will facilitate collaborative networking among the attending scientists.
