Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (KSMCB), I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all participants at the 34th KSMCB International Conference. The conference is held at the International Convention Center (ICC) in Jeju, a beautiful island off the southern tip of the Korean peninsula, from September 28 to 30, 2022. We are excited to hold this conference on-site this year after the long COVID-19 pandemic, which has made it difficult for everyone over the past two years. Surrounded by beautiful scenery of Jeju Island, the conference will provide a high-quality scientific platform for attendees to share their research in all aspects of biological and biomedical sciences.

The scientific program has a great line-up of speakers who will deliver the latest scientific advances and breakthroughs through a series of plenary/award lectures and symposia. The conference also features various luncheon meetings and exhibitions joined by industry participants. This year, the plenary lectures will be given by the world¡¯s leading scientists Drs. Edvard I. Moser (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, 2014 Nobel prize laureate), David Baker (University of Washington), Ivan Dikic (Goethe University, Max Planck Institute of Biophysics), and V. Narry Kim (Seoul National University). I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all participating speakers who make essential contribution to the success of this meeting by sharing their finest research with attendees in immersive and vitalizing atmosphere. As KSMCB also values the importance of nourishing the next-generation scientists, the conference organizes poster presentation sessions and award presentations to encourage participation of young investigators from around the world.

I am confident that the international conference of KSMCB will be an exciting and memorable scientific forum, providing the latest scientific discoveries with the opportunity for collaborative networking and social interaction among international scientists. My special thanks go to all members of the conference organizing committees and industrial partners. This long-awaited in-person meeting would not be possible without their hard work and support.

I look forward to seeing all of you at this extraordinary event in Jeju, South Korea.

Best Regards,
Goo Taeg Oh
