On behalf of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (KSMCB), I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all participants of the 2023 International Conference of Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (ICKSMCB). The conference will be taking place at the International Convention Center (ICC) JEJU, located in Jeju island, a exotic place off the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula, from November 6 to 8, 2023. We are excited to hold this conference on-site. The conference will provide a high-quality scientific platform for attendees to share their research in various fields of biological and biomedical sciences.

The scientific program consists of an exceptional line-up of speakers who will deliver the latest scientific advances and breakthroughs through a series of plenary/award lectures and symposia. This year, we have the privilege of hosting world-renowned scientists Drs. Cynthia Kenyon (Calico Life Sciences LLC), Ardem Patapoutian (2021 Nobel laureate, Scripps Research, Howard Hughes Medical Institute), Tony Hunter (Salk Institute for Biological Studies), and Karl Deisseroth (Stanford University, Howard Hughes Medical Institute) as the plenary lecturers. The conference also features various luncheon meetings and exhibitions supported by industry participants. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all participating speakers who make essential contributions to the success of this meeting by sharing their finest research with attendees in engaging and stimulating atmosphere. As KSMCB strongly values the importance of nurturing the next generation of scientists, the conference offers poster presentations and award sessions to encourage young investigators from around the world to participate.

I am confident that the ICKSMCB will be an exciting and memorable scientific forum, providing attendees with the opportunity to share the latest scientific discoveries, collaborate with international scientists, and engage in valuable networking and social interactions. I am truly grateful to all members of the conference organizing committees and industrial partners for their valuable contributions to the success of this event.
