The emerging role of Innate lymphoid cells in chronic respiratory diseases

Dr. Hye Young Kim is a prominent immunology researcher known for her work on innate immunity and its implications in chronic diseases. She earned her Ph.D. in Immunology from Seoul National University College of Medicine, where she investigated the roles of NKT cells in auto-antibody-induced arthritis. Dr. Kim furthered her expertise with postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School, focusing on asthma and allergic diseases under the mentorship of Prof. Dale T. Umetsu. Since joining Seoul National University College of Medicine in 2014 as an Associate Professor, Dr. Kim has made significant contributions to the field of immunology. She was promoted to Professor in 2021, where she continues to lead cutting-edge research on chronic diseases.
Dr. Kim¡¯s research interests cover a diverse range of topics within immunology, with a particular emphasis on innate lymphoid cells and their roles in chronic diseases. Her recent research includes:
