How to submit abstracts

Abstract Submission Deadline:September 10, 2013

The submission of an abstract implies your consent of its publication in the Abstract Book and that the author will participate in Conference. All presenting authors of abstracts are expected to attend the workshop and register via online registration by September 10, 2013. It is possible to submit abstracts until September 10, 2013 but it will be closed with the 1,000 posters in order of submission.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  1. 1. Abstracts should be written in English
  2. 2. Abstracts should be submitted online.
  3. 3. Authors may further edit and modify submitted abstracts until the submission deadline. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that their text does not contain typos or grammatical errors.
  4. 4. No proofreading will be carried out, and no correction will be possible after the submission deadline.
A. Title
  • Use a concise title that indicates the content of the abstract.
  • The first letter of words should be capitalized.
  • Preposition and article should be lowercased. Don¡¯t use italic letters.
B. Authors & Affiliations: Select authors¡¯ and affiliations¡¯ number.
  1. 1) After select authors¡¯ number, enter authors¡¯ full name.
  2. 2) Names and surnames for each author must be provided.
  3. 3) Corresponding author(s)¡¯ name should be checked in the box.
  4. 4) Affiliation(s) should be listed by department, institution, city, postal code, and country.
C. Contents
Abstracts should not exceed 1,200 characters. Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted and will not be edited in any way. Contents may be organized as the author sees fit, though they should include the purpose of the study, the methods used, a summary of the results and the conclusion reached.
D. Keywords: A minimum of five (5) keywords, summarizing the contents of the abstract, should be entered.

Withdrawal of Abstracts

If the presenting author of an abstract does not register by the presenter registration date, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program.
If you must withdraw an abstract, please notify the ICKSMCB Secretariat in writing as soon as possible.

Poster Presentations

Each poster will be displayed for a day at the Meeting from October 9 to 11. Presenters will be available at scheduled times to answer questions and to discuss their results. Poster sessions will provide delegates with an opportunity to interact with colleagues, stimulate their scientific appetite and have a professional interface with industry sponsors.

General Guidelines for Poster Presentation

  1. 1. Presenters will be demanded to stand by in front of each posters during the poster session. Especially, they need to be there within a specified time because examiners will evaluate the posters at that time.
  2. 2. The desirable content of poster has abstract, purpose of experiment, results (figures, tables), conclusions, and references.
  3. 3. The message should be clear and understandable without oral explanation.
  4. 4. Please use tape when you attach your poster. (Please bring your own.); No pin can be used.
  5. 5. Every poster has to be removed by presenters after their presentations.

Guidelines for attaching a poster

The size of poster board provided is 1000 cm wide and 2500 cm high.
Please prepare a 10~30 cm high headline strip that runs the full width of the poster with the title, author(s), and institution(s).
Please attach your poster after leaving a space approximately 30~40cm.
